This project addresses the second phase of digital disruption to Cadastral Plan rights… How do we protect plan rights through the development and adoption of digital rights management frameworks.
Digital Rights Management (DRM) refers to technologies, policies, and processes used to protect digital content from unauthorised use, modification, or distribution.
In the digital realm, users acquire rights to use digital assets rather than possessing them outright.
The current synopsis is that digital rights are set by various government and vendors with regards to plans that YOU own. The rights under various Terms & Conditions of sale do not refer to, or protect the ownership rights of digital cadastral plans for surveyors.
